Advantages of CNG vehicles

CNG as a clean fuel increases the maintenance mileage of your car and also helps your car engine to last longer than normal.
The exhaust and catalyst of your car will last longer because of the burn rate of CNG.
Factory fitted CNG engines have better performance when compared with other fuel powered CNG. (This may not accurately applied to CNG converted engines).
CNG vehicles are largely environmentally friendly and saves the world from less pollution.
CNG vehicles has a higher ignition temperature, making more safer and less prone to fire or explosions.

Disadvantages of CNG vehicles

CNG converted vehicles may experience reduced engine power and performance due to its lower energy content. This is unlike the factory fitted CNG vehicles.
Converted CNG vehicles require some space in the car trunk for the CNG tank installation.
In some cases, the additional weight of CNG tank may affect the suspension of vehicles.
CNG is increasingly popular in Nigeria, refueling infrastructure at the moment is insufficient and far from what it should be. That means, users might need to travel some distance to refuel their vehicles.
Conversion of vehicles to CNG might incur a high initial cost. Although, there are several ongoing initiatives by government to bring down the cost of conversion.
CNG converted vehicles may require more specialized maintenance due to the difference in fueling system.
